Theresa (Tessa) Willen
Interim Head of School
Ms. Theresa “Tessa” Willen is delighted to join the Lorien Wood community as Interim Head of School. With more than 30 years of experience in Christian education, she has served as a teacher, principal, academic dean, curriculum designer, and educational consultant in the United States and Europe. Ms. Willen holds a Master of Education and is currently completing her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at Regent University, where her research focuses on worldview formation and mission drift in Christian higher education. She is passionate about helping schools cultivate wisdom, virtue, curiosity, and a love of learning rooted in a biblical worldview. Ms. Willen looks forward to partnering with Lorien Wood families as students discover God's world and their place within it.
Jessica Ng
Upper School Teacher
Jessica Ng is currently in her 4th year at Lorien Wood. She played a pivotal role in launching Lorien Wood’s High School program, teaching math and science as well as high school electives. Mrs. Ng holds a Master's Degree in Science and has been teaching for 17 years.
Kathryn Foley
Upper school teacher
Kathryn Foley became a member of the Lorien Wood faculty in 2015, taking on the role of Form 4 science teacher. With a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics and Curriculum, Mrs. Foley’s 40 years of teaching experience spans across all levels, from elementary through graduate school.
Jordan Szafran
Upper School Teacher
With 16 years of teaching experience across multiple grades and subjects in three states, Mrs. Szafran brings a wealth of expertise to her role. Her background includes time at an environmental magnet school in Kansas, further enriching her diverse skill set.
LueYee Tsang
UPPER SCHOOL TEACHER
Mr. Tsang comes to us with an extensive teaching, writing, and professional career in both the area of linguistics and theology. He received his BA in Linguistics from UC Berkeley, holds an advanced diploma in French from the CCFS in Paris.
Brendan English
Director of Outdoor Education
Brendan English is in his 2nd year of teaching at Lorien Wood. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sport and Recreation Management from James Madison University and brings a rich background of experience working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade. He loves teaching at Lorien Wood because he gets to lead students in the discovery of God’s creation outdoors.
Megan Kime
Form 3 Teacher
Ms. Kime holds a Master's degree in Education and has 12 years of extensive teaching experience. At Lorien Wood, Ms. Kime finds joy in teaching as a "whole" teacher, and is currently a Lead Teacher for Form 3.
Sabrina Faustino
Form 1 Teacher
Ms. Faustino is in her fifth year of teaching and her third year at Lorien Wood, where she teaches Form 1. She relocated from Florida with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and prior experience in public education. Sabrina enjoys teaching at Lorien Wood because it provides the opportunity to integrate God's Word into the classroom while fostering meaningful learning experiences outdoors.
Ellen Enmark
Form 2 Teacher
Ellen Enmark is in her 5th year of teaching at Lorien Wood and currently serves as the Lead Teacher for The Shire, our Junior Kindergarten program. Mrs. Enmark holds a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts from Grove City College.
Gillian Parker
Director of Administrative Services, Reception, and Records
This is Mrs. Parker's 4th year at Lorien Wood School. As our front desk receptionist, she loves greeting all the smiling faces of students, parents, and faculty each day and is honored to play a role in this wonderful community.
Mili Gutierrez
Custodian
Mili has been faithfully caring for our school since 2020. Known affectionately as 'Ms. Mili' by the students, she ensures our spaces are ready for every adventure, making our outdoor and hands-on curriculum possible each day.
