Amy Butcher
Head of School
Amy Butcher joined the Lorien Wood community first as a parent, then as a member of the Board of Trustees, and as Head of School in 2016. Amy holds a Master of Arts and brings over 20 years of teaching experience to her role.

Lynnette Fields
Dean of Academics & Upper School Teacher
Lynnette Fields has been a dedicated member of the Lorien Wood community for 15 years. Currently serving as the Dean of Academics and teaching Form 5 Humanities, she brings a wealth of experience to her role.

Jessica Ng
Upper School Teacher
Jessica Ng is currently in her 4th year at Lorien Wood. She played a pivotal role in launching Lorien Wood’s High School program, teaching math and science as well as high school electives. Mrs. Ng holds a Master's Degree in Science and has been teaching for 17 years.

Kathryn Foley
Upper school teacher
Kathryn Foley became a member of the Lorien Wood faculty in 2015, taking on the role of Form 4 science teacher. With a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics and Curriculum, Mrs. Foley’s 40 years of teaching experience spans across all levels, from elementary through graduate school.

Jordan Szafran
Upper School Teacher
With 16 years of teaching experience across multiple grades and subjects in three states, Mrs. Szafran brings a wealth of expertise to her role. Her background includes time at an environmental magnet school in Kansas, further enriching her diverse skill set.

LueYee Tsang
UPPER SCHOOL TEACHER
Mr. Tsang comes to us with an extensive teaching, writing, and professional career in both the area of linguistics and theology. He received his BA in Linguistics from UC Berkeley, holds an advanced diploma in French from the CCFS in Paris.

Brendan English
Director of Outdoor Education
Brendan English is delighted to begin his first year at Lorien Wood, where he looks forward to leading Form 4 students in exploring and marveling at God’s creation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Sport and Recreation Management from James Madison University and brings a rich background of experience working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Laura Grizzard
Form 3 Teacher
Laura Grizzard joined Lorien Wood in 2016, and is currently a Lead Teachers in Form 3. With over 24 years of experience in Christian education, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Math from George Mason University.

Megan Kime
Form 3 Teacher
Ms. Kime holds a Master's degree in Education and has 12 years of extensive teaching experience. At Lorien Wood, Ms. Kime finds joy in teaching as a "whole" teacher, and is currently a Lead Teacher for Form 3.

Michael Abundo
Form 2 Teacher & Athletic Director
Michael Abundo has been with Lorien Wood for the past 4 years. He is currently a Form 2 teacher and the Athletic Director at Lorien Wood. He holds degrees in Business Management, Early Childhood Education, and Culinary Arts.

Tami Wischmeier
Form 2 TEACHER
Tami Wischmeier is currently a Lead Teacher in Form 2. With over 18 years of experience in education, Mrs. Wischmeier has taught a diverse range of subjects spanning from kindergarten to 12th grade.

Sabrina Faustino
Form 1 Teacher
Sabrina Faustino is currently in her second year at Lorien Wood teaching Form 1. She moved here from Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and two years of experience teaching in public school.

Ellen Enmark
Shire Teacher
Ellen Enmark is in her 5th year of teaching at Lorien Wood and currently serves as the Lead Teacher for The Shire, our Junior Kindergarten program. Mrs. Enmark holds a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts from Grove City College.

Kayla Underwood
Occupational Therapist
Kayla Underwood holds a doctorate in Occupation Therapy and serves Lorien Wood students with a variety of learning differences, helping them thrive academically and personally. She has been a valued member of the Lorien Wood community for three years.

Gillian Parker
Director of Administrative Services, Reception, and Records
This is Mrs. Parker's 4th year at Lorien Wood School. As our front desk receptionist, she loves greeting all the smiling faces of students, parents, and faculty each day and is honored to play a role in this wonderful community.

Mili Gutierrez
Custodian
Mili has been faithfully caring for our school since 2020. Known affectionately as 'Ms. Mili' by the students, she ensures our spaces are ready for every adventure, making our outdoor and hands-on curriculum possible each day.
