At Lorien Wood, we believe field trips are important means to enhance a student’s concrete understanding of God’s world.

Trips are designed to beautifully dovetail with each Form’s unit of study, taking students on great adventures that extend their understanding of what they are studying in the classroom.

Field trips often include visits to the Smithsonian museums, Discovery Theater, the Kennedy Center, and many other cultural, governmental and educational institutions in the Washington DC area.

Parents are needed to serve as chaperones for all field trips. This is a wonderful way to engage in Parent Service, and get a great glimpse into your child's current unit of study. Parents are informed of field trips by their child's teacher and/or field trip coordinators. Log-on to ParentsWeb to access the school calendar to review all upcoming trips.
