Life Beyond Lorien Wood

Lorien Wood is committed to a spiritually and intellectually robust educational experience for K-8 grades.

Our faculty, administrative staff, and strong parent community all work together to create a rich, nurturing academic environment where life-long learners are developed and students are fully prepared for whatever high school setting they are called to.

Just as we invest in each student throughout their years at Lorien Wood, we stand ready to prepare our students and their families for the transition to high school. Our administrative staff is equipped to help parents and 8th grade graduates with all the processes involved in entering high school.

The unique educational philosophy and academic program of Lorien Wood fosters deep learning and builds academic skills, while engaging students on fundamental questions related to their character and role in the world. Students learn to pursue and articulate their ideas, allowing them to graduate from Lorien Wood fully prepared to succeed in the next stage of high school.

The enthusiasm for learning, the deep-level critical thinking skills, and strong character evident in our graduates is routinely acknowledged and awarded in their high school settings. We celebrate each of our graduates and treasure their continued engagement through their ongoing participation in Lorien Wood community events and other leadership roles at Lorien Wood.
